ALI’S MENDOAN

            Today, I’m going to promote you our product a delicious and a traditional food named “Mendoan”. Actually, the term mendoan is derived from Javanese word which means semi cooked. This food is from Karasidenan Banyumas which consist of Cilacap and Banyumas, in those two regions you’ll be easy to find mendoan. Mendoan in usually sold in a stall and the stall usually opens in the evening. Mendoan is more delicious if we serve it when it is still warm and it’s not perfect if we eat mendoan without chili or soya sauce. Mendoan is different with other Tempeh, mendoan is a kind of Tempeh with thinner shape. It’s made by fermenting soy bean using a certain microbe such as Rhizopus Orizae.

            As you can see, the food is made by covering tempeh with flour. It’s golden white with slices of green onion leaves. It’s rectangle in shape and we offer you three flavors of mendoan they are original flavor, cheese flavor and barbeque flavor, you may choose one those.It’s wrapped by using a batik box which has banana leaf as a base. Banana leaf makes its aroma more fragrant and more delicious as well. If yo tasteit you’ll feel a special sensation becauf of the blend of soybean, flour and the ingredients. If you eat mendoan whith chili of soya sauce it will be more delicious and spicy as well and don’t worry in the box we also put some chilies and soya sauce, it depends on your order.

            As I told before that mendoan is made by fermenting soybean, we know that soybean is the source of vitamin E. Vitamin E is good for our health especially for our skin. It keeps  our skin healty and smooth. In additional, it also contain of flour as a source of carbohidrat. Carbohidrat is needed by our body to create energy which is important for us to do our daily activites.
